SIGNATURE SATURDAYS RETURN TO VICTORY FIELD

Saturdays to Feature Autograph Sessions with MLB Legends and Live Entertainment Acts

The Indianapolis Indians have announced the return of Signature Saturdays as part of their promotional calendar for the upcoming 2013 season. In its second consecutive year, the Saturday promotional series will again feature autograph sessions with several of Major League Baseball’s all-time greats, as well as one-of-a-kind live entertainment acts.

AT&T is getting involved by presenting autograph sessions for fans which will feature former MLB All-Stars Dave Parker, Ozzie Smith, Cecil Cooper and Lou Brock. Each of the four autograph sessions will run for two hours, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., with a limit of one autograph per person.

SATURDAY, APRIL 6: MASCOT MANIA
The promotional series will kick off on Saturday, April 6, when the Tribe’s award-winning mascot Rowdie will be joined by his fellow local mascots to both entertain fans and sign autographs.

SATURDAY, APRIL 27: DAVE PARKER APPEARANCE/LIVE PERFORMANCE BY MYRON NOODLEMAN
Fans will be treated to an autograph session with the 1978 National League Most Valuable Player and seven-time MLB All-Star Dave Parker on Saturday, April 27 at Victory Field. A member of the Pittsburgh Pirates 1979 World Series champion squad, Parker will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs while “The Hippest Nerd in Da’ Biz,” Myron Noodleman, provides entertainment skits throughout the game.

SATURDAY, MAY 11: TEAM AUTOGRAPHS/LIVE PERFORMANCE BY RUSSIAN BAR TRIO
The defending International League West Division champion Indianapolis Indians will host a team autograph session before their scheduled contest on Saturday, May 11. Once the team takes the field, fans will also witness a performance from the Russian Bar Trio, a group of high-flying acrobats whose stunts will amaze spectators between innings.
Note: Team autograph sessions will take place from 5:45-6:30 p.m.

SATURDAY, JUNE 8: OZZIE SMITH APPEARANCE/LIVE PERFORMANCE BY K9 FRISBEE DOG TEAM
MLB Hall-of-Famer and 13-time Gold Glove Award winner Ozzie Smith is scheduled to make an appearance at Victory Field on Saturday, June 8 in an autograph session Tribe fans won’t want to miss. As the Indians game commences, the K9 Frisbee Dog Team will perform throughout the evening’s contest.

SATURDAY, JUNE 22: TEAM AUTOGRAPHS/LIVE PERFORMANCE BY MAD CHAD
Autograph seekers will have another opportunity to obtain signatures from their 2013 Indianapolis Indians on Saturday, June 22 for the second of three team autograph sessions. Additionally, fans will witness a live performance from juggler extraordinaire, Mad Chad.

 Note: Team autograph sessions will take place from 5:45-6:30 p.m.

SATURDAY, JUNE 29: CECIL COOPER APPEARANCE/LIVE PERFORMANCE BY RUBBERBOY
On Saturday, June 29, Cecil Cooper, a five-time MLB All-Star and two-time RBI champion, will be on hand to sign autographs at Victory Field. Cooper won the Silver Slugger Award three straight years from 1980-82, and following his retirement as a player, managed the Indians during the 2003 and 2004 seasons. Also scheduled to appear is Rubberboy, the world famous contortionist who will entertain fans as he bends his body into stunning shapes and positions.

SATURDAY, JULY 13: TEAM AUTOGRAPHS/TEAM CARD SET GIVEAWAY/LIVE PERFORMANCE BY QUICK CHANGE
The Tribe will be giving away its annual team card set on Saturday, July 13, which is a perfect item for fans to have signed during the final team autograph session. Once the Indians game begins, Quick Change will amaze spectators between innings as they perform complete costume transformations in mere fractions of a second, right before fans’ eyes.

SATURDAY, JULY 27: LOU BROCK APPEARANCE/LIVE PERFORMANCE BY THE PIRATE PARROT
The Victory Field faithful will be treated to a second MLB Hall-of-Famer appearance on Saturday, July 27 when the all-time National League steals leader, Lou Brock, holds an autograph session at Victory Field before Indianapolis’ scheduled contest. Joining the two-time World Series champion will be the Pittsburgh Pirates’ mascot, the Pirate Parrot, who will also be on hand to entertain fans throughout the evening.

Note: Lou Brock will not sign bats or jerseys

SATURDAY, AUGUST 3: FORMER NEGRO LEAGUE PLAYERS/INDIANAPOLIS CLOWNS JERSEYS/ PERFORMANCE BY ZOOPERSTARS
The regular season’s final Signature Saturday will include on-field entertainment skits from the Zooperstars, as well as an autograph session with several yet-to-be-announced former Negro League Players. The current Tribe squad will commemorate the special occasion by adorning throwback jerseys of the former Negro League club, the Indianapolis Clowns.
