Take Steps and Be Heard for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis-Register for a walk near you at www.cctakesteps.org.
The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation walks because over 1.4 million American adults and children are affected by digestive disease. That’s one out of every 200!
Many suffer in silence, but Take Steps is changing that by bringing this community together publicly and encouraging them to make noise and be heard. The money raised through Take Steps helps fund patient support and education programs, enhances professional education efforts, and propels critical research for a cure. In the past four years alone, we succeeded in bringing together over 100,000 people and raised close to $32 million to help further CCFA’s mission.
The Indiana Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation is proud to Take Steps towards a cure and improved quality of life for the more than 30,000 Hoosiers, children and adults, battling these diseases. 30,000 just in Indiana! Just think, that is two sold out crowds at our very own Victory Field! You can make a difference by walking with us on June 2, 2012 at White River State Park. Don’t wait, register now! www.cctakesteps.org/indianapolis
The Indiana Chapter provides a variety of resources for patients, their families and caretakers. In 2012 the chapter will host 4 free patient education programs, add 2 support groups for a total of 6 throughout Indiana, send 17 children with Crohn’s or colitis to summer camp, provide countless amounts of publications and materials to doctor’s offices for their patients and support groundbreaking research, some of which is happening right here in Indianapolis. If you or someone you know has Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis we are here to support you! Feel free to contact the local chapter office for more information at 317.259.8071 or Indiana@ccfa.org or visit our local chapter website at www.ccfa.org/chapters/indiana.
